PARAMOUNT Voltage Drop Tester is designed and manufactured for testing DC motor / Generator Armature for faults like interturn shorts, dry soldering and open circuit. Test is carried by passing high current through hand held probe. DC constant high current is passed through each segment winding of Armature to be tested and voltage- normally mill volt is measured across each segment.

Voltage Drop can be checked on mill voltmeter and Laptop. If any interturn short/open coil is there the reading will vary. In case of dry solder or loose joint, joint portion will get heated up.

A programmable logic controller (PLC) has been used to increase system reliability. Maintenance, trouble shooting and service have become easier by use of PLC. A laptop with sophisticated in-house developed software can be incorporated which imports all test results and only customer/motor details need to be entered for report generation.
